FAQs

Q:

What is Scope exactly?

A:

Scope is a place where your family can find educational opportunities, connect with other homeschoolers, and make lifelong friends. We are here to help you make the most of your homeschooling experience. At Scope we try to offer a variety of academic and elective classes. We try to have a little something for everybody! We have a variety of field trips throughout the year, as well as an end of the semester party in December and an end of the year party in May.

Q:

Who can particpate in Scope?

A:

We are open to any homeschooler. We have classes for babies through high school, however our nursery and preschool classes are only for the siblings of students in K5 or higher.

Q:

How much does it cost?

A:

There is a Family Fee of $125 that you pay once per semester. Most class fees range from $10 to $75 and are based on the supplies needed for the class. Some of our high school classes are taught by contract teachers instead of parents and are therefore more expensive. All fees are paid directly to Scope.

Q:

How do I join?

A:

If you are interested in joining Scope, please request to join by going to the main page and looking under the login boxes. There is a link to join the waiting list. If you are at all interested, please join the list. You are not obligated to join just because you apply. When we contact you, you may opt not to register for any classes.

Q:

Why is there a waiting list?

A:

We try to keep our classes small so that we don't lose the tight-knit feel a homeschool co-op should have. We also only have so many rooms and so many parents willing to teach. As much as we would love to have everyone join us, it's just not feasible.
